An ongoing autopsy of memory and perception, Stressful Squares began as a spontaneous response to creative pressure—an intuitive gesture that quickly evolved into a formal method. The series is continuously evolving: unpredictable in its timeline, deliberate in its finality. Each piece begins with an original photograph and is layered obsessively through digital illustration, distortion, and sfumato-inspired colorwork.

The square functions as both scalpel and salve—cutting into the emotional anatomy of the image, isolating something essential, or smothering it. Every square is a visual gesture: it might resurrect a moment, or annihilate it.
